Capabilities

MantaRisk MCP gives AI assistants direct, structured access to the MantaRisk platform. Once connected, an AI assistant can perform the following operations on your behalf.

Portfolio Management

• List and inspect existing portfolios
• Create new portfolios and load holdings
• Delete portfolios

Risk Analytics

• Run full risk analysis on any portfolio
• Query factor exposures, volatility, and VaR metrics
• Retrieve stress test results

Portfolio Optimisation

• Rebalance portfolios using Max Sharpe Ratio, Risk Parity, CVaR Minimisation, or Max Diversification strategies
• Apply tactical rules and constraints before optimisation

Instrument Lookup

• Resolve instrument identifiers (ISIN, ticker symbol) to MantaRisk unique keys
• Query reference data for supported instruments

All operations are executed through the authenticated MantaRisk API. The AI assistant never has broader access than the permissions granted to your API token.

Protocol Compatibility

The MantaRisk MCP server uses the Streamable HTTP transport and supports the following MCP protocol versions:

The server negotiates the protocol version during the initialisation handshake. Clients connecting with any of the above versions will be accepted.
